CMU Wushu Club

A supportive place for anyone interested in learning about or practicing wushu. We focus on taolu, a performative, non-contact sport.

Welcome

Train with us this semester

The CMU Wushu Club is a student organization dedicated to practicing and performing wushu, the modern form of Chinese martial arts. We train together weekly and perform on campus.

All Levels Welcome

You don’t need any martial arts background. We teach the fundamentals from the start, and returning members help newcomers learn.

Forms & Weapons

Members start with barehand routines and progress into weapons such as staff, fans, broadsword, and straightsword.

Perform

We showcase routines at campus cultural events throughout the year. There is no pressure to perform, but performances are open to every experience level.
